Council of Businesswomen is ready to synchronize in United Nations headquarters
The official delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan participates in the 62nd session of the UN commission on women, which is devoted to the issue of activating rural women. The session takes place at the UN Headquarters in New York from 10 to 16 March 2018.
Participation in the event of an international sope became possible thanks to the initiative of the national commission for women and family and demographic policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the leadership of the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova. The work of the Kazakh delegation at the 62nd session of the UN Commission on the Women shows that women's entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan is given special attention.
The delegation from Kazakhstan includes a member of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vice Minister of Justice Elvira Azimova, a consultant of the Internal Policy Department of the Presidential Executive Office, a member of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gauhar Nurakhmetova , Chairman of the Council of Business Women of the NCE RK "Atameken" Lyazzat Ramazanova.
As UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres noted in his speech, it is the work of this UN Commission that shows a positive growth.
It is worth emphasizing that rural women make up more than a quarter of the world's population. Most of them are engaged in global agriculture.
“There is a very important aspect. The focus of the discussion is the situation of rural women and girls. There are a lot of interesting and useful things for the work of our Council of Business Women of the NCE RK "Atameken". There is an advanced experience and we will strive for it. The work of the Commission is very intensive; the schedule of events is tight. It is a unique opportunity to "synchronize the watches", - stressed Lyazzat Ramazanova, Chairman of the Council of Business Women of the NCE RK.
It should be reminded that this is not the first appearance of the Business Women's Council of the NCE on the international level. From February 15 to February 16, 2018, the first business forum of businesswomen of Kazakhstan and Turkey was held in Ankara. The Kazakh delegation included about 50 business women from Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is a member of the Commission for 2014-2018 and pays special attention to women's issues on the whole range of key topics of the Organization's agenda, including strengthening peace and security, achieving sustainable development, poverty eradication, combating climate change, protecting human rights.
Kazakhstan has signed such fundamental documents on gender equality as the UN Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, the Beijing Declaration and the Platform for Action, and it is taking practical steps to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
NCE RK "Atameken" among the first advisory bodies created on its site the Council of Business Women. An extensive network of government representatives has been built in all parts of the country - 16 regional councils and 170 councils have been established in district centers headed by successful women.
