Businesswomen of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates signed the memorandum of joint cooperation within the United Arab Emirates - Kazakhstan Businesswomen Forum in Dubai.

The Kazakh delegation was led by the State Secretary of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova, as well as the chairman of the Council of Businesswomen of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Lazzat Ramazanova. The foreign party was represented by the Minister of Community Development Hessa Buhumaid and Chairperson of the UAE Businesswomen Council Farida al-Awadhi.

In her speech, Gulshara Abdykalikova underlined that Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates are bridged by the friendly ties established by President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. One of the key tasks is to deepen bilateral economic, trade and technological ties.

Lazzat Ramazanova emphasized that the experience of the UAE businesswomen is valuable for businesswomen of Kazakhstan, and therefore both sides decided to enter a new format of partnership.

“Time dictates the need to deepen cooperation in the development of women's entrepreneurship. It is possible that in the future 50 per cent of the UAE Parliament will be represented by women. Kazakhstan is a country where any woman can be brave, happy and fulfill herself not only as a loving wife and mother, but also as a socially active and business lady,” Lazzat Ramazanova said.

Under the memorandum, the parties intend to develop joint projects and programs aimed at promoting comprehensive business cooperation, mutual investments and establishment of joint ventures. Legal and administrative conditions will be harmonized, analytical studies will be conducted to identify barriers in trade and economic relations and a number of other measures aimed at improving the business climate of the two countries.

It is expected that during the forum businesswomen will hold meetings in B2B format. They will also meet with Chairman of the UAE Chambers and the Abu Dhabi Chamber Mohammed Thani Murshid Al Rumaithi and Her Majesty Chairperson of Family Development Foundation Fatima bint Mubarak.

Kazakhstani women will visit plants producing coffee and confectionery. The delegation will meet with the Name Women organization in Sharjah.
