This month an entrepreneur Rustam Agadzhanian will start "fishing" at his own trout farm
He says that fish delicacy for three years gained the desired weight, and it can be safely supplied to the regional stores.
Despite the fact that the price per kilogram will be pretty decent - 2,5 thousand tenge, the businessman is still confident that the fresh goods won’t stany long in the shops.
At first signt the trout farm looks quite presentable. It is an extended 30-foot log house, it is located in an ordinary rustic garden in the village Tarkhanka. But inside it is as at the best trout farms. The room temperature even in the most severe frosts is minimum minus four degrees. Rainbow trout is gaining weight at four pools. Fish swims in one stack in a small tank and swirls in a spiral move. "Exercises", - says the businessman.
The production begins, as usual, with the incubator. Fish eggs are placed in a special container with heated oxygen fed, which Rustam ordered by air from Adler. Small fish requires a lot of attention. Larger brethren can swallow smaller congener at once. "Fish nanny" Nadezhda Kruglova watches after proper diet and water temperature. The former milkmaid quickly mastered a new profession and now she is as good as an experienced ichthyologist.
"One should feed trout three to four times a day - says the woman. - We specifically buy certified food. It consists of wheat, corn and fish meal. Our fish has excellent appetite. It rapidly gains weight".
Rustam in our presence puts the net into the water and pulls the first available fish. "This is a trade weight - he said. It is 500 grams, not less. The first batch was bought by several restaurants of Ust-Kamenogorsk. They ssk for more and more, because this product comes in frozen form to the city, and our fish is the freshest straight out of the pool. We thought to supply fish to residents of Ust-Kamenogorsk before the New Year, but then we decided to wait a bit for trout to gain more weight, up to a kilogram. We will start sales later this month. First we will supply our major customers, the surplus will be sold at the markets of the city".
