Over a thousand entrepreneurs participated in the Kazakh-Russian business forum

During the event were mainly discussed not challenges, but the possibilities for cooperation between the two countries

The Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Ablay Myrzakhmetov summarized the XIII Forum of interregional cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia, speaking to the President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin.

According to Myrzakhmetov, the Forum was attended by over 1,000 representatives of business circles. During the panel sessions and the substantive session of the business forum were signed 50 documents worth over 3 billion USD. "I would like to inform you that we have 60 projects in various industries. It is encouraging that it is not only the energy, mining industry, but also non-raw sectors: these are building materials, food processing, pharmaceutical projects - amounting to almost 20 billion USD", - he said.

"During the Forum entrepreneurs raised not only issues of problems and barriers, it is encouraging to hear that they voiced opportunities within integration processes. Today we were talking about niches of the opportunities offered by the program EAEU Silk Road. Today, many speakers have shown clear examples of cooperative ties. And this was the main leitmotif of our Forum. In general, all the speakers are very interested in these projects", - said the head of the Board of NCE.

Myrzakhmetov also emphasized that during the exchange of views, many Russian businessmen spoke about the favorable investment and tax climate in Kazakhstan.

The head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin, agreed with his colleague that at the forum were largely discussed not challenges and obstacles, but opportunities for cooperation. "In particular the niche related to the innovative high-tech products, with the possibilities of integration of our projects in the global value chain and their work on the markets of third countries. There are such opportunities, and agreements that have been signed, which allow to expect that this problem will be resolved", - he added.
