Representatives of ILO visited Astana
The representatives of the organization noted the coordinated work of Kazakhstan in terms of protection of workers' rights
Experts of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Astana participated in the meeting of Director of ILO's Bureau (ACTRAV) Maria Helena Andre and Chief Specialist for Workers' Activities of ILO Sergejus Glovackas with trade-union activists of the Federation of Trade Unions of RK.
Opening the meeting, chairman of FTURK Abelgazi Kusainov said that the federation is part of the global trade union movement and the ILO membership allows it to use the recommendations of the international organization to regulate the labor market and its further development.
Maria Helena Andre praised coordinated work of Kazakhstan in terms of protection of workers' rights. "I am proud that the ILO became part of Kazakhstan's development success story. You did not avoid the global crisis, but your country managed to create an air bag, which has helped to save the achievements of 25 years ", - said director of the ILO's Bureau.
The guest stressed that on the eve of the centenary anniversary of the ILO, which will be held in 2019, Director General of the organization nominated 7 initiatives, one of them - the program report "The future of the work sphere". The report will contribute to the resolution of such issues as the increase of inequality, the destruction of the middle class in many countries due to the crisis.
"There are new forms of production, trade takes a larger share. However, trade unions are not involved in this. In some circles there are views that the trade unions are the past, they do not develop, and they protect only those who have a job. But we know that this is not the case. Today labor relations vary greatly. We shift from full employment to contracts. Collective bargaining - is a tool through which you can regulate the labor relations", - said Maria Helena Andre.
Experts of the Chamber of entrepreneurs of Astana noted that a representative of the employer of RCE also pays great attention to the development of human capital. Experts of NCE are often involved in the resolution of labor disputes in the capital.
"With the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan we interact on the basis of the city tripartite commission on social partnership and regulation of social and labor relations in the framework of which there is an exchange of opinions and the development of solutions for constructive dialogue between workers and employers", - noted the representatives of RCE.
