Murat Abenov: "Entrepreneurship should be taught from an early age"
Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of "Atameken" met with young entrepreneurs of Taraz
The meeting was held in Zhambyl Polytechnic College. Murat Abenov talked about the need for enhanced career guidance work with children, as well as learning the basics of business from an early age.
"The demand on the labor market and the desires of young people are very different - he said. - We conducted a study and found that only 30% of young people willing to create their own business, the remaining 70% want to work as hired labor. At the same time, when we studied the labor market, it appears that, on the contrary, 60% of jobs created in the country are in small business. It turns out that many of those who are educated are at risk in the future to stay out of work".
Thus, according to him, the study showed that 85% of currently existing jobs do not require higher education. "Today young people have a great desire to get higher education, with many experts issued no demand. In our country, there is a very high level of unemployment among educated people – it is a big problem. 1.5 million youth today have a diploma of higher education, they spent four years, invested money, wanted to become specialists. This is a major tragedy in our society, where there are people with higher education, but without work. Unlike regular unemployment, it has many pitfalls. People who have a higher education diploma, as a rule, are not ready to go to work in lower qualifications, as they feel they have a shame to go to a less prestigious job. These people are less flexible, they are difficult to retrain", - said Abenov.
Therefore, it is important to focus on early vocational guidance, said the representative of NCE. "Many will have to create jobs themselves. Today, therefore, we need to teach young people the basics of business from an early age. At school, we have to focus on early guidance and to give lessons on entrepreneurship ", - he concluded.
During the visit, Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Atameken", met with the director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Zhambyl region Karlygash Aralbekova and staff of the Chamber. He also visited LLP "TarazKozhObuv" and LLP "Zan". On 7-9th of September Murat Abenov as a lecturer participated in the Regional Seminar on the promotion of Kazakhstan's model of peace and harmony.
