Sugar beet is in priority!
Microcredit program of "Atameken" will provide Almaty sugar plants with raw materials
Director of the branch of the Foundation for Agricultural Support of Almaty region Madi Ibadullayev agriculture spoke about the implementation of the microcredit program in the region. "By the end of this week, we plan to issue somewhere around 60 million tenge for 20 projects. In general, we consider more than 60 projects, 20 of them have been approved, another 40-45 are under consideration", - he said.
According to Ibadullaev, when issuing microcredits the emphasis is made on spring field works in the Almaty region, 90% - on the cultivation of sugar beet. "That is our priority in selection of projects, it is the wish of Almaty akimat, there are two sugar plants that lack raw materials in the region since July, we will provide loans to other businesses", - he said.
Authorized capital of the program, as it was noted by the Director of the Foundation of the branch, is in 600 million tenge - 300 million from the "Atameken" and 300 million from the local executive bodies.
"The population is actively interested in the program, because the interest rate is lower here - 6% per annum, and the term is also normal - 3 and 5 years. In general, the work is organized, everything is fine, there are no problems", - added Ibadullayev.
