"Popular" medical drugs won’t get more expensive
The prices for some types of drugs and medical products will not go up until the end of the year
Such agreement was achieved during the signing of the memorandum at NCE between the Minister of Health and Social Development of Kazakhstan Tamara Duysenova and representatives of pharmaceutical industry associations.
The head of the Ministry of Health signed the agreement on curbing the prices of medicines and medical products with the presidents of the Association for support and development of pharmaceutical activity, the Association "FarmMedIndustriya Kazakhstan", the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Association of pharmaceutical distributors.
Representatives of industry pharmaceutical associations have repeatedly raised questions related to the difficulty of negotiating a memorandum with the Ministry of Health to contain the rise in prices for socially important products in 2016 due to lower profitability of local manufacturers of drugs, medical devices. This is due to the fact that memoranda to curb price increases, which are concluded each year between business structures and state agencies in recent years, up to 80% consist of domestic production.
In this regard, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs made a proposal to the Ministry of Health and Social Development on development of a roadmap to support domestic manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and medical industry. In their opinion, this document will assist them in marketing and raising public awareness about the products, the quality of which, by the way, is not inferior to foreign analogues.
Despite the difficult economic conditions, businesses have taken on social responsibility, and 11th of April this year, with the participation of representatives of NCE, the Minister of Health and Social Development Tamara Duysenova and leaders Pharmaceutical Associations signed a memorandum to curb prices of 105 kinds of medicines and medical products.
According to this document, in the pharmacies of the country will be fixed the prices for 105 commonly consumed drugs and medical products (painkillers, anti-inflammatory, cardiac, antihistamines, stomach, antihypertensive drugs, vitamins, eye drops, ear drops, etc.), And these prices won’t rise until the end of 2016.
The list of medicines and medical devices, which is included in the Memorandum, can be found at the pharmaceutical entities or on the web-site http://www.mzsr.gov.kz site
