The was the task given to the Directorate and the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Atyrau region by the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Timur Kulibayev.

"Procurement in the public and quasi-public sector, it is about 8 trillion tenge, it can become a driver for domestic producers in a difficult period. This is especially true for the Atyrau region, where there is a high concentration of large subsoil users. Do you have enough large amounts on purchasing, where you can represent not only local, but also the whole Kazakhstani business. And this advantage has to be used, as procurements - is an area which can really help the business", - said the head of the Bureau.

It is no secret that due to the fall in oil prices in the region, there is a decrease in output, streamlining of jobs at oilfield service companies. A great help in improving the situation, according to Timur Kulibayev, can become a project for expansion of "Tengizchevroil" company, running the Kashagan field. This will lead to an increase in the volume of work for both local and, in general, for Kazakhstani companies that will undergo a difficult period.

"Efforts should be made to work together with the Akimat with the mining companies both in the public and quasi-public procurements. It is necessary to consider what from the existing list can be shifted to long-term contracts for our producers. I think it will be very useful for them. We have conducted such work with "Tengizchevroil". Currently, TCO has a complete list of companies that qualify as suppliers of TCO. At the same time, investors need to think about production they can localize in Kazakhstan. I think these are two information fields on which we need to work together ", - concluded the Chairman of the Presidium of NCE RK.

At the same time, Timur Kulibayev said that it is necessary to ensure a transparent approach to secure fair competition in addressing this issue.

"The main thing is that mining companies take into account the needs and capabilities of domestic producers when drawing up technical specifications. If to compile in advance technical specifications under certain foreign companies, it is clear that domestic production companies never get access to the procurement. In turn, domestic producers must meet standards for product quality and price", - concluded the head of the Presidium of NCE.
