Kazakhstan opened the first in the history trading house in Kabul, aiming to expand trade with Afghanistan
Trade house was opened with the assistance of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh Embassy in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
"We want to expand trade with Afghanistan through various outlets. The opening of the trading house will pave the way for entrepreneurs of both countries in development of closer ties in trade, and we hope that the Afghan Government will be able to achieve great economic growth through the development of trade relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan. Long-term trade relations were established between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan may be a good alternative for the import of food products, along with other countries", - said Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Afghanistan Omirtay Bitimov.
According to the results of past years, Kazakhstan has imported goods from Afghanistan in the amount of 3 million US dollars. Export of goods from Kazakhstan to Afghanistan is 333 million US dollars. Basically, it is flour and oil.
"Opening of the trading house is a good start for the development of trade relations with Afghanistan. Domestic producers will be free to put their own products in the largest trade fair pavilion "Expo Centre of Afghanistan". The representatives of the pavilion are ready to be business partners with Kazakhstani producers at the local market. In addition to the individual stands at the pavilion, businesses get information about the features of the organization of marketing and sales in the market of Afghanistan, as well as new business contacts", - concluded the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan Meirbek Mazhitov.
