160 entrepreneurs of the market "Altai" ask to postpone installation of POS-terminals
Collective petition of the tenants came to the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Aktobe oblast. Their indignation is related to the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated by October 29, 2014, according to which individual entrepreneurs and legal entities applying the special tax regime as of January 2016 are required to install and to use POS-terminal.
"The law obliges us, the tenants, to install POS-terminals, the market value of which is about 90 thousand tenge. According to the lease agreement we can purchase terminals at the second-tier banks for 20 thousand tenge, but they have a condition that every month we have to have a certain turnover for non-payment of commission, otherwise it is unprofitable for banks to provide this service", - say tenants working by a patent.
Tenants complain on a sharp decline in sales due to the financial difficulties many of them can’t repay the debt for the rent.
"The purchse of POS- terminals for 90 thousand tenge will lead us to bankruptcy. Currently, our full monthly income is twice less than the amount requested by banks to go through the terminal, and our customers expect cash from us", - outraged businessmen during a roundtable, which was held in the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Aktobe oblast.
In addition, it was said that both customers and tenants don’t need to purchase terminals, not to mention the fact that there is a sufficient number of ATMs on the 1st floor of the market.
In this connection, the entrepreneurs asked the Chamber to assist in the introduction of amendments to the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the amount of turnover and the status of a business place for the mandatory installation of the terminal, or in deferment for installation of terminals, at least for a time of crisis.
According to the results of the round table, it was decided to direct this request for consideration to NCE RK.
