Kyrgyz vegetables will become cheaper in Astana

Early seasonal delivery of environment friendly fruits and vegetables from the neighboring country will be systematized

At the initiative of Trade Committee of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of RK "Atameken" was held a business meeting with a delegation from the farm of Osh region of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The event was held with the aim of building a partnership between representatives of Kyrgyz farms with commercial enterprises of Astana for the early supply of fruits and vegetables and signing of long-term contracts for supply.

An agreement with the representatives of the Kara-Suu district was reached after the meeting. In this area, the annual production of vegetables is 45-48 thousand tons, 11-12 thousand tons of melons, 12 thousand tons of fruits. All products are environmentally friendly without any GMO. Fruits and vegetables in the Kara-Suu district ripen about 20-30 days earlier than in Astana.

The participants of the meeting agreed that the shopping center of Astana “Big Shanghai" will become a distribution center for fruit and vegetable products from Kyrgyzstan.

"There are different factors that do not allow to obtain stable volumes, to keep the prices. For example, one week there were supplied too many tomatoes and the other none at all. For example, they said that there are not enough tomatoes in Astana, as all tomatoes were brought. As a result, prices have fallen below the limit. A week later, no one is going, because there say that Astana does not need tomatoes. There are no tomatoes and prices soared again. And these constant price deviations make nervous not only our buyers, but also wholesalers and consumers ", - said the head of the Secretariat of the Trade Committee NCE RK Zhibek Azhibaeva.

She stressed that it is important to build up an effective system, which will observe all aspects: how products will be delivered, in what amounts, at what time, how often and at what price. "So that does not happen, that we are friends initially, shook hands, prices are reasonable, and after some time the prices soared and friendships broke", - added Azhibaeva.
