Sergey Tereshchenko: “Brand "Uly Dala Tauari” should become a symbol of high quality”
The former prime minister spoke about the relevance and necessity of creation of Kazakhstan's trademark
Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and now a businessman Sergey Tereshchenko, is engaged in various types of activities. His company produces turkey, fish, honey, apples. One-third of production is exported. He said that the demand for domestic products, both on the domestic market and abroad, is growing from year to year. And, as a commodity producer, Sergey wants Kazakhstani products to be easily recognizable far beyond the country.
"We always adapt to the needs of a buyer. We learn to do the turkey jerky and even kazy turkey meat, sausages and that relished and loved by Russians already. Moreover, honey produced in Kazakhstani is exported today to Hong Kong, Korea, Europe, UAE, China is interested in its wholesale supplies. And there are many more products of such kind, which are produced only by us, or at least only our companies can provide exceptionally high quality. I think it is time to create such a brand under which our products could be easily recognized on the commodity shelves worldwide. That is why I was one of the first to respond to the initiative of the Head of State on the establishment of Kazakhstani trademark. I think that it will raise the image of our country on the international arena", - says Sergey Tereshchenko.
The need to create a Kazakhstani brand, according to which the country will be recognized all over the world, was proposed in July of this year at a national teleconference by the Head of State. In August, the President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the international scientific-practical conference "Constitution: unity, stability and prosperity" proposed to give a second name to Kazakhstan "Uly Dala Eli – The Country of the Great Steppe". Sergey Tereshchenko, in turn, offered several options for a new brand - "Uly Dala Onіmі". "Uly Dala Tauari". The idea was also supported by the participants of the Ist Kazakhstani Forum of commodity producers, who proposed separate categories "Uly Dala Tauari", "Uly Dala Kyzmetі" as part of the Prize of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Altyn Sapa" in 2016.
