In Kazakhstan, today was announced the transition to a free floating exchange rate of tenge. This was announced by Prime Minister Karim Massimov on the selectoral government meeting
"The new economic policy in terms of the fundamental negative changes in the global economy requires a new monetary policy to ensure a balance between economic growth and price stability. In this regard, the Government and the National Bank of Kazakhstan made a decision to proceed with the August 20, 2015 to implement a new monetary policy based on inflation targeting regime, and move to a free floating exchange rate ", - said K. Massimov, reading a joint statement of the Government and the National Bank.
"We now have to get used to it, that we live with a freely floating exchange rate. It can go both up and down", - said Karim Masimov at a briefing in the Service of Central Communications
