Students have developed an application for volunteers
The winners of the National Championship “SAGE Kazakhstan-2015" spoke about their project
According to the captain of the winning team, a student of 11th grade - Temirlan Uali, the project is a mobile application that will enable young people, if necessary, to quickly find volunteer work, both paid and unpaid.
"Volunteer work in our application will be divided in two areas - public assistance and social assistance. In developing this project, we conducted a study that enabled us to identify the strengths and weaknesses of volunteer activities in our country. It turned out that volunteering is underdeveloped in Kazakhstan. To the question "What is volunteering?", many answered that it is work for others, without material incentives", - said his partner – a student Mukhamedali Salaydyn. He added that with the project it is planned to collaborate with the charity fund.
Youngsters believe that their project will facilitate the process when employers and potential volunteers are looking for each other. "A pupil or a student enters the application and instantly see a list of companies that need volunteers. He adds the necessary proposal itself, it integrates with its calendar on the phone and it is been recorded in the notes", - said Salaydyn.
"Neither a school nor a college or a university teach anybody to be an entrepreneur. Today, 12-14-year-olds become billionaires. We would like to see this example of early business in Kazakhstan through the mechanisms and algorithms of SAGE movement”, - said a member of the Presidium of NCE RK "Atameken", chairman of the social sphere and social partnership Talgat Doskenov.
Coordinator of the National Championship “SAGE Kazakhstan-2015” Ardan Vashirhan is sure that the project was a success. "It interested not only students but also their parents. Parents who feed their families, are interested in ensuring that their children from adolescence grasp the concepts of doing business", - she said.
Authors of the project for the development of volunteerism, and the second team-winner in the nomination "Socially Responsible Business" will travel to Seoul to the world championship.
