Ghana is ready for business cooperation with Kazakhstan
The National Day of the Republic of Ghana was held at the EXPO
On 12th of July at the international specialized exhibition EXPO in Astana was held in honor of the National Day of the Republic of Ghana with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Board of NCE RK "Atameken" Nurzhan Altaev and Vice-Minister for Religious Affairs and Civil Society Berik Aryn. The official delegation was headed by Vice Minister of Trade and Industry of Ghana Ahsenkor Kingsley.
A rich cultural program was presented during the celebration. Guests were able to enjoy the fascinating musical and theatrical performance "Wheels", feeling a special flavor of the West African country.
This year, on 14th of August will be celebrated 25 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Ghana. Ghana is an important partner of Kazakhstan in West Africa, and the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan intends to strengthen relations between countries for the benefit of the peoples of the two states.
Participants of the event noted that Kazakhstan is the first country in the post-Soviet space, which holds such a large-scale exhibition. The exhibition topics allowed to attract the best world energy saving technologies, as well as new developments of alternative energy sources.
Everyone knows that energy today is a locomotive in the world economy and the basis of social well-being. The chosen theme - "Energy of the future" fully corresponds to the realities and requirements of the modern fast-developing world.
The pavilion of the Republic of Ghana will make it possible to acquaint all visitors and exhibitors with this amazing country, its deep history and diverse culture, political and economic development, as well as the measures taken in the field of renewable energy development. In the pavilion of Africa 21 continent states are represented. Ghana participates in EXPO-2017 under the auspices of the theme "Ghana is the quay of renewable energy sources". The participation of Ghana in this exhibition is intended to emphasize its commitment. The goal of the general energy policy of the Government is to draw the share of renewable energy sources in the country's total energy balance to 10% by 2020.

Congratulations to the organizers that they provided a common platform for participating countries to contribute to efforts aimed at properly recognizing the importance of renewable energy in the modern world. With the discovery of oil resources, Ghana aims to become one of the most important oil producers in the African region and looks forward to the creation in the future of a diversified economy that is not tied to an oil resource", - said Achenkor Kingsley.
At the end of the official part of the National Day, representatives of the Republic of Ghana held a business forum. Officials and businessmen of the two countries were able to explore the possibilities of developing the existing potential of bilateral relations.
