In which sector people invest more money?

In the 1st quarter of 2016 investments in fixed capital grew by 15.7%

During the 1st quarter of 2016. Investments in fixed assets amounted to 1 157 billion tenge, the increase of which in comparison with the 1st quarter of last year amounted to 15.7% (Figure 1).

Major investments have traditionally occurred in the mining industry (534 billion tenge), transactions with real estate (153 billion tenge) and manufacturing industry (143.7 billion tenge) (Figure 2).

Significantly increased the share of investment in such activities as "wholesale and retail trade" - from 1.4% to 2.2%, and "mining" from 40.8% to 46.1%.

Own funds prevail in the structure of investments in fixed assets in the 1st quarter of 2016. Their share is 65.1% of the total volume. However, there is a decrease in the share of public investment - from 8.3% to 5.4% (Figure 3).

Regionally, more than half of the investment had to flow to the oil regions of Atyrau (34.6%) and Mangistau (8.1%) regions as well as to the city of Almaty (7.4%) and Astana (7.0%).

The highest rates of growth of investments in the 1st quarter 2016. compared to the same period of 2015, was recorded in Atyrau and West Kazakhstan regions (Figure 4).
