Rules for participation in the photo and video competition "Zhibek Zholy. Kazakhstan”
From 18th of September to 28th of October are accepted works for the republican photo and video competition "Zhibek Zholy. Kazakhstan "The Great Silk Road is one of the world's cultural and historical phenomena that has had its impact on Kazakhstan. With the aim of revealing the tourist potential of the Silk Road of Kazakhstan, Atameken, together with the Committee for the Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Capital Tourism Association, the Association “the Tourism Industry Development Center of the South Kazakhstan Region” and the Eurasian Tourism Association launched a photo and video competition "Zhibek Zholy. Kazakhstan". The photo and video competition takes place in 3 stages:
18th of September to 28th of October Reception of competitive works
28th of October to 8th of November - The work of the panel of the jury to determine the winners in the photo and video competition.
At the same time, a poll will be held in the nomination "Audience Choice Award". On 10th of November the winners of the photo and video competition "Zhibek Zholy. Kazakhstan" will be announced.

For participation it is necessary to apply on the site of the Capital Association of Tourism www.astana-tourism.kz, after preliminary acquaintance with the Regulations of the photo and video competition.

Works of participants of the Photo Contest are accepted in the following nominations:
1. Secrets and legends of the Silk Road. In this nomination can participate all the images associated with cities, as well as objects of cultural, natural and historical heritage of the Silk Road of Kazakhstan from ancient times to the present.
2. Traditions of the Silk Road. This nomination takes into account the illustration of Kazakhstan's multinationality, the culture and traditions of its peoples, the life of representatives of different nationalities, moments from ethno-cultural festivals, national holidays and other events.
3. Travel with love. This is a separate nomination for photos from travel on the Silk Road. In order to give authors of video clips almost complete freedom of action and expression of their views on the Kazakh Silk Road and its tourist potential, one vast nomination is envisaged. The participants of the video competition must display the objects of the cultural, natural and historical heritage of the Silk Road of Kazakhstan or the culture and traditions of its peoples in their works. The winners of the photo and video contest will receive prizes from the hotels of Marriott Astana, Rixos President Astana, Astana CityPASS company and Explore Central Asia Kazakhstan tour operator. Also, the photo will be awarded, which received the largest number of votes in the special category of the Photo Contest "Audience Choice Award". Voting in this nomination will be held on the page of the Contests on the Facebook network (@zzcontest). In addition, the most interesting works of the participants of the photo and video competition will be selected for participation in the exhibitions that will take place during the international festival "Journey through the Great Silk Road of Kazakhstan" in Almaty, Taraz and Shymkent in November 2017.
