Ainur Omarova spoke about the work of the project and the peculiarities of her training

  - How did you come to business coaching?

 - I was born in East Kazakhstan region, but several years ago I moved to Astana. I work here for a long time, held a leading position in the banking sector. My activities did not give me spiritual satisfaction, so I came to "Bastau Business". I wanted to try myself in a social project. Before that, I conducted trainings in the business sphere on my previous work. I actively participated in such events. But, when the work brings benefit to citizens and their gratitude it is another sensation.

- What difficulties did you encounter during the training?

 -  People, of course, initially perceived everything with some kind of caution. Because before that there were a lot of similar programs, but they did not give results. With the launch of "Bastau Business" everything has changed. For them it was a definite innovation. People changed their thinking, thinking changed in the direction of literacy. First of all, we start to disclose people from a psychological point of view. When the students begin to reveal themselves, they begin to understand that their "ego" has been forgotten to some extent. Thanks to the courses, they open their eyes to what they love. They often realize that time has gone far ahead, and they have remained in the same place. People who comes to us, initially pursues the goal of funding, then they become interested in learning. Many people come to the conclusion that "No, I will not take this loan yet. Now I still need more training". The listeners begin to realize the whole essence of the obligations that they will face in the future. For example, they come and ask for 18 million KZT, they need the full amount as much as possible. With our participation, they begin to make calculations and understand what "financial literacy" is, they do tax calculations. When we start writing a business plan, entrepreneurs find out that sales are not great. There was a woman who was engaged in production of goat milk in Kokpekty district. When she began to make calculations, she hoped for a certain amount, but in the end she came to the conclusion that it was not profitable. If a person immediately say: "Sorry, your business is not yet profitable. Let's make a little less, or a little more "depending on the type of activity, he will not understand this. Perhaps, he will say: "You are against me. The state owes me". When they calculate everything themselves, they literally know what they need, for example, "6% is 300 thousand tenge. We will take a loan, immediately we pay off some of it". And the fact that there is a schedule, equal shares, and so on, they do not take this into account. People come who have never seen computers, they do not know how to write. It is difficult to work with such people. But the most important is that we see appreciation and gratitude in their eyes.

- In what district do you teach? Tell us about local people

 - I chose East Kazakhstan region. Because I wanted to make some contribution to my native land. She taught in Kokpekty district. The first flows were the most active. People want to work. But, at the first stage, they just do not believe that they will really get funding, that it is available to them. About 80 people took part in testing in our district, 52 people passed training. Of these, 27 people made ready-made business plans. In the second stream 42 people were trained, 13 of them came to business with ready-made plans. We conduct monitoring on their credit history, whether the provision of collateral will be possible. There is such a moment, it is prescribed that they take biological activity in the pledge policy. That is livestock. People basically have cattle, and it needs to be insured. Insurance companies do not undertake to do this. If they agree, then for a very high price. We try to solve such problems and urgent problems. People come for 40-70 km. away every day for seminars. In East Kazakhstan region, water rises, there are floods. Once we had flooding, but people came to classes in rubber boots, no matter what.

 - What does the project give?

- Most importantly, I think, "Bastau Business" started on the right side. It is necessary to change the internal potential, so that they understand that they are heard. They come to akimats, ask for help, but they do not hear them. Thanks to the program, urgent problems are clarified and there is an opportunity to establish contact between the state and the entrepreneur. Today, I know that there are approved projects. But the problem is in collateral. We try to work out everything. There is an external control. By means of "Bastau Business" you can get rid of people’s problems. When we talk with people, we see a problem from the outside. For example, they can’t get land. A person has a herd of 300 animals, and he can’t get land for 3 years. With everyone we work individually, call them before after training. I want them to work and to develop. It is crucial that they understand that no one knows better than them. Fattening, breeding livestock or poultry farming is their profile. We do not take anything from books, everything is applicable in practice.

 - How many people have you already trained?

 - I have had two waves. In total, approximately 80 people. For family reasons, I had to go to the reserve. But I like to train. When I worked in the banking sector, my salary was higher than that of a business coach, but I was not satisfied with this spiritually. If the coach does not have an approach from the human side, it will be difficult for him to understand the system. There, of course, you need to be qualified, write business plans, understand in what direction a person wants to leave. But the important part is to be a psychologist.

 - Thank you for the talk!
