Kazakhstan and Austria discussed the finances of joint projects
Kazakh-Austrian Economic Forum was held in Astana
On 14th of June 2017 in Astana was held the Kazakh-Austrian Economic Forum and the 5th meeting of the Kazakh-Austrian Business Council in the framework of the National Day of Austria at EXPO Astana 2017. The event was organized with the joint work of the Ministry for Investments and Development of Kazakhstan, the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan, the Austrian Representation in Kazakhstan, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs RK "Atameken" and the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan. The work of the Economic Forum and the Business Council was opened by the Vice Minister for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Khairov and the Vice-Minister of Science, Research and Economics of Austria and co-chairman of the Austrian-Kazakhstan Joint Commission Bernadette Girlinger.
More than 60 high-ranking representatives of Austrian companies took part in the work of the Economic Forum and the Business Council. The Kazakh side is also represented by more than 100 enterprises and organizations, including national companies, large industrial associations and private companies in the most diverse spheres of the economy. The Economic Forum has become an effective platform for the presentation of the economic and investment potential of Kazakhstan and Austria, as well as for informing about the possibilities of financing joint projects. Such opportunities were noted in the presentations of representatives of Kazakhstani and Austrian organizations. The Business Council has already been held for the fifth time with the active support and assistance of the Federal Economic Chamber of Austria and the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan. Within the framework of the Business Council, Kazakh and Austrian companies held B2B business meetings in the following sectors: engineering, energy, chemical industry, oil and gas industry, construction, IT technologies, agriculture and food industry, investments.
