Atameken through private investments and local budgets launched a micro-credit program

In Kazakhstan, there is a wealth of opportunities to raise funds for starting and developing a business. The key one is lending. But, often, a high interest rate and strict requirements do not allow a businessman to get the necessary loan. In this case, the entrepreneur refers to microcredits, as they are easier to obtain because of small amounts and terms.

But for most start-ups micro-credits are not available due to high interest rates (on average 40% per annum). Also, entrepreneurs faced problems of collateral, a large number of required documents and lack of project support. So that each businessman could receive a favorable loan, from the beginning of 2015 NCE RK "Atameken" launched a micro-credit program by attracting private investments and local budgets.

Over 300 micro-credit organizations (MCOs) work in Kazakhstan, while about half of the micro-credit market is occupied by LLP "Microfinance organization" KMF (KMF) ". It should be noted that more than 75 MCOs have been opened in rural areas.

The key advantages of micro-crediting of NCE RK "Atameken":

  • Flexibility in terms of collateral;
  • Provision of payment guarantee;
  • Support of business projects prior to their implementation;
  • Opportunities for cooperation and direct marketing;
  • The number of documents required to obtain loans decreased from 13 to 5;
  • Consideration of land plots, residential buildings and other real estate as a pledge.

Micro-credits are issued in the amount of up to 15 m. KZT at 6% per annum, for a period of up to 5 years without any industry restrictions. At the same time, an entrepreneur needs to provide only 5-6 documents to get a loan. The debt can be repaid monthly, quarterly, once in six months and once a year.

In 2017, NCE RK "Atameken" through its micro-credit system is ready to distribute to entrepreneurs 10 billion tenge out of the total amount of money allocated on behalf of the Head of State.

To obtain a loan, businessmen should apply to the Center for Servicing Entrepreneurs or the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the region.

Experts will provide advice on the loan and assist in the collection of documents.

The next Congress of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs RK "Atameken" will be held on June 14, 2017. The event will consider the report on the results of the activities of NCE, the budget for the coming years was approved, the report of the Audit Commission was heard, etc.
