WorldSkills Kazakhstan is the point of vertical start for students
The jury determined the best masters in 10 competencies. WorldSkills Championship is held in the region for the second time. This year it is devoted to the international exhibition EXPO-2017. More than 60 contestants came to compete for the title of the best master and to demonstrate their professional skills and ability to work on modern equipment on innovative technologies. Future welders, masons, hairdressers, cooks, network and system administrators, web designers, electrical engineers, mechanics and plasterers competed at the three sites. Contestants - students of colleges and young employees of enterprises of the city and districts. Out of 10 competencies, according to which the winners were determined, 4 were announced again. The skills of the contestants were evaluated by 27 experts, among them the only accredited specialist of WorldSkills in Kazakhstan - Ivan Slipetsky. According to the organizers, such events are necessary. For educational institutions, they provide an opportunity to establish partnerships with customers. For students, this is the start for the development of professional skills, and for social partners - the influx of talented, highly qualified employees to the company. As a result of the competition, a national team will be formed, which will represent the region at the National Championship in Astana, and in case of victory, the contestants will go to the international competition, which will be held in October in the UAE.
