The regional competition of professional skills was organized by joint efforts of the Education Department and the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty region. Within two days, 44 students of technical and professional educational organizations will compete in four categories: welding technologies; hairdresser's art; cooking; fashion design and modeling. This year, the jury includes managers and employees of the Silhouette Hairdressing Salon, beauty parlor “Selective Collet”, the restaurant complex Khama Park, Grand Caffe Restaurant, LLP Metakon, LLP Raushangul and SP Shagieva. The practical stage of the contest began at the Taldykorgan College of Service and Technology. Rimma Salykova, chairperson of the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty oblast, made a speech at the official opening with a welcome speech on behalf of business, which noted that representatives of working youth should become heroes of today. "In the conditions of building an innovative economy, modernization of vocational education, this competition is becoming especially relevant. One of the priority directions of the development of Kazakhstan’s vocational education in recent years is to improve the conditions for identifying support for talented and gifted working youth. We think that the heroes of today's time should be young people - representatives of the working professions. Because, our business lacks simple working hands, professionals in its field", - said Rimma Salykova. The winner of last year's competition Zhasulan Esmuratov told that thanks for his participation in the contest. He got a job and received a certificate for free education in Turkey. "Now it is very important for us to improve our professional skills. Therefore, last year I applied for participation, and today I work in the restaurant "Khama park" in Karasai district. Thanks to the successful performance at the republican contest, I got the opportunity to represent Kazakhstan at the international championship, which will be held this year in Abu Dhabi. I hope that in a short time I will be able to open my own business and thereby contribute to the development of our homeland", - he said. At the grand opening, students of colleges in creative form presented 10 specialties. The winners of the regional competition will be announced tomorrow. The team of winners will get a ticket and will represent the region on the republican tour in Almaty in May this year.
