Champions of their profession
In Almaty was held the WorldSkills Almaty professional championship among college students. The World Championship of Professional Skills WorldSkills Almaty among college students is held this year for the third time. This is an international non-profit movement aimed at increasing the prestige of the working professions and developing professional education in the world. The WorldSkills project has wide state support in many countries of the world. It is a tool through which it is possible not only to improve the quality of education in training technical personnel, but also to identify talented working youth and their further professional growth. "Almaty is a scientific-educational and financial-economic center of the country. Like throughout the country, city enterprises are in dire need of working specialties, workers are also required in the service sector. In this regard, the system of vocational training of workers is becoming an increasingly important link in the transformation of the Kazakh economy", - said Yury Tleumuratov, Director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty, during the opening of the championship. College students competed in 17 competencies. The best in their skills were: Eduard Eliseev - web design; Daulet Tuzelbek - network and system administration; Evgeny Simonenko - mechatronics; Dmitry Vinokurov - electronics; Madi Omar - welding technology; Kanat Abdraym - hairdressing; Zhumatov Aidar - cooking; Kashaubaeva Dana - baking skills; Pankov Valery - restaurant service; Kenzhaly Nursultan - dry construction and plastering works; Iemberdi Aigerim - fashion design; Grishaev Nikita - painting and decorative works; Zhanabergen Almas - lathe work on CNC machines; Chekanov Matvey - car repair; Minuarbek Aibek - plumbing and heating; Kali Alikhan - electrical works and Іdіrіs Azamat - carpentry. The organizational committee and jury of the championship included representatives of the Education Department, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the Association of Colleges, representatives of industry associations, employers, the Office for Youth Policy, Employment and Social Programs. Champions will take part in the Republican contest WorldSkills Kazakhstan. The winners of the city championship were awarded with gold certificates from the Almaty Chamber of Entrepreneurs and memorable gifts from industry associations.
