The main provisions of President's Address were discussed at the trade union center of Almaty
The participants of the Conference of the trade union center during the discussion of the President’s Address highlighted the need to strengthen the work on creating new jobs, expanding opportunities for youth employment.
"The Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty conducted a detailed survey of business leaders on the staffing requirements. It was attended by 1,700 leaders of Almaty enterprises to share the needs of their businesses in the workers. The results showed the need for the urban labor market amounted to 11.6 thousand specialists, more than 95% of respondents noted an acute demand for skilled workers. In terms of industry the greatest demand was observed in: service industry, food and light industry, construction, furniture manufacturing, transport, engineering and others. According to plan of retraining 500 people will be sent to training centers in 2017", - said the expert of the human capital development of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty Zhanat Estaev.
The Chamber also participated in the 11-city job fairs, where 1128 employers presented 6802 vacancies, 8779 unemployed people applied. 474 people were given information on vacancies, 378 people were employed, 25 people will undergo vocational training, 24 got social jobs, 15 will undergo youth practice, 10 public works.
In order to adapt to the irrational use of resource of labor market opportunities and education organizations to demands of employers, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs jointly with local authorities plans to implement the Programme of productive large scale employment to solve the problems of employment by developing a curriculum for a short-term vocational training with elements of the dual model training and education of the unemployed to basics of entrepreneurship.
During the conference, representatives of regional organizations of employment centers of Almaty gave advice on the employment of redundant workers and explained measures to increase productivity, reduce the number of unemployed persons and persons employed by unproductive labor. The event was attended by members of the city tripartite commission on social partnership and regulation of social and labor relations, representatives of local branches of the industry and trade unions, members of the youth wing "Keleshek", activists of Almaty trade union movement.
