Watermelons of the farm "Kairat" are in great demand under the brand "Lebyazhye watermelons"
Melon growers of Lebyazhye district expand production. Now here, in addition to the traditional cultivation of the "sweet berries", they plan to produce pumpkin seed oil.
It is no coincidence that Lebyazhye district is famous in the region as the "watermelon paradise", because the farm "Kairat" is located here, which is one of the largest farms in the country. The main direction of its activity is the cultivation of melons. And, most notably, the farm completely abandoned chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Melon production here is consistent with organic production. Watermelon farms are in great demand under the brand "Lebyazhye watermelons."
As it was noted by the director of the branch of the Chamber of Lebyazhye district Dastan Beisembaev, last year the farm "Kayrat" received the status of seed producer. In order to expand production the head of farm Kayrat Shapuov opened a workshop on preparation of pumpkin seeds.
This year, the entrepreneur plans to go ahead and to start the production of pumpkin oil, the demand for which, by the way, is very high. It's no wonder pumpkin seed oil is called "black gold": its content of nutrients natural oil is a leader among its peers.
Currently, the businessman decided to combine several farms in the area of agricultural production into a cooperative. The regional branch of the Chamber provides full support and help in the collection of the necessary documents. According to Dastan Beisembayev, the pros of amalgamation of farmers are obvious. This expansion of cultivated areas, increased production, and, most importantly, the establishment of markets. The plans of Lebyazhe melon growers – is to export its products to the CIS countries.
