Agrarians unite
12 agricultural cooperatives were created in Kokpekty district of East Kazakhstan region during the year. Most of them are engaged in mixed farming, two are engaged in fishing and one in poultry.
Such business consolidation in the region – is the result of advocacy conducted by the Kokpekty district branch of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of East Kazakhstan region. At meetings with farmers the branch staff explained to entrepreneurs the essence of cooperation and its advantages: tax and other preferences.
"The merger into cooperatives allows small farmers to obtain the necessary financial assistance from the state, to borrow from banks, as well as lease equipment", - says Director of Kokpekty district branch of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of EKR Aliya Mukasheva.
By joining forces, farmers effectively address issues of logistics, processing, storage and marketing of agricultural products, as well as creating concurrency environment in the sector.
One of these associations - SEC "Nadezhda" in the village Sarybel. It consists of three individual family farms.
"In total, we have 214 hectares of pasture land leased from the city administration for 5 years, agricultural machinery, transport. We bought three breeding bulls for our own money. Along with pedigree cattle conversion, we provide public services on maintenance and repair of transport, the transport of hay, coal, gravel", - said the head of the SEC "Nadezhda" Nazira Galkina.
Cooperative is only taking its first steps, but eventually the family business firmly back on track allows look with confidence of the future, believes positive and energetic Nazira Galkina.
