It is planned to build a ski base in Zhambyl region
This tourist facility and recreation center "Apple Orchard" and objects of roadside service – are ready projects for investors, which will attract tourists to the region, stated the director of the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs Karlygash Aralbekova. She talked about the potential tourism development in the region at the International Investment Forum “TARAZ INVEST-2016 - AGROCHEMICAL DAY”.
"Four tourism projects are included in the Regional Map of Business Development – creation of the recreational tourist base “Kazakh auli Koksai” worth 935 million tenge, opening of the tourist recreational center "Apple Orchard" worth 85 million tenge, as well as projects for the construction of roadside service in Zhualynsk and Merke districts of Zhambyl region worth 402 and 700 million tenge, respectively", - she said.
Director of the Regional Chamber explained that the Zhambyl region is included in the state program "Revival of the historic centers of the Silk Route, preservation and successive development of cultural legacy of Turkic-speaking countries, the creation of tourism infrastructure". Five historical sites in Zhambyl region are included in the list of World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Along the Great Silk Road are located over three thousand historical and cultural monuments.
"Zhambyl region among the three regions of Kazakhstan, to which will be send tourists from around the world during EXPO 2017 - she explained. - Four travel agencies of Zhambyl region participate in the preparation for EXPO-2017: LLP "Golden Caravan", LLP "Taraz the Travel", LLP “Baiterek Travel Center” and LLP "Zhambyl-Service", which entered into memoranda of cooperation. LLP “Baiterek Travel Center”, as the official tour operator, tool a commitment to sell 10 thousand tickets".
It is planned to hold a major international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Kazakhstan from June to September 2017, which will be attended by 103 countries, 17 international organizations and there will be held over 3 thousand cultural and entertainment events. From 4th to 11th of September it is planned to conduct info-tours by the routes of Kazakhstan, including the Great Silk Road (Astana-Shymkent-Taraz-Astana EXPO-2017).
By the result of the forum for the purpose of active cooperation in developing tourism, the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs and Tourist Information Centre "South turistіk ortalygy" and the Tourist Information Centre "Taraz - Tourism" signed the memorandum.
