Relocation of business to new conditions
Entrepreneurs from the demolished villages will get help with building business in a new location
In the Zhezkazgan region is carried out a project on resettling of the inhabitants of Zhezkazgan village to surrounding settlements - Krestovsky, Vesovaya, Perevalka and GRP. Residents of these to be demolished settlements should move to the town of Satpayev, where new homes are being built for them. According to the akimat of the region, more than a billion tenge was spent on construction and purchase of apartments for the displaced families. However, entrepreneurs were almost left unnoticed. The local executive body proposed them to transfer their outlets to the housing stock and to obtain compensation as individuals. But the amount to be recovered in this way did not cover all the damage.
This summer, the entrepreneurs addressed for help to the regional branch of the Chamber in Satpaev. After that they began to consider the issue at the level of the regional akimat.
According to the director of the branch Berick Aben, the problem of displaced persons from among entrepreneurs should be included in a comprehensive plan for socio-economic development of Zhezkazgan, Satpayev and Ulytau districts for 2012-2020.
The head of the legal department of the regional akimat Bakhtiar Ayesh, who arrived in the city of Satpayev together with the director of the regional chamber Madeniet Bozhbanov to meet personally with entrepreneurs agreed with this. Every businessman was able to voice his problems during the reception. The official told the businessmen that there are ongoing preparations for the assessment of enterprises property at settlements. Akimat of the region intends to apply to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to allocate funds from the budget to carry out a full assessment. Unfortunately, at the moment such money is not provided for in the comprehensive plan.
"It is necessary to admit that the answer will have to wait a long time. But we are encouraged by the fact that after collective appeal authorities started to act, the ice was broken, and due attention was paid to the problem of entrepreneurs. Perhaps the solution would be, even if in the second half of 2017, however, there is reason to think that the Government will support our business", - said M. Bozhbanov after a meeting with entrepreneurs.
Nevertheless, entrepreneurs are not sitting idle. They are ready to reformat the business under new conditions and apply to the business support center to find out what new directions can develop the business and on what kind of support from the state they can count on.
And today, marketers of RCE went from the regional center to Satpayev, who will conduct surveys and studies, to work individually with local entrepreneurs. They will carry out substantial work on resettlement of business to one-industry town.
