The parties discussed the possibility of establishing joint ventures and other areas of cooperation

Kazakhstan business delegation headed by the president of the Association of Light Industry Enterprises of Kazakhstan Lubov Khudova visited Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). During the visit was signed a bilateral memorandum on cooperation between the Association of Light Industry Enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Malaysian Textile Manufacturers Association (MTMA).

According to Khudova, the conclusion of a memorandum on cooperation is very timely, because today the textile world and clothing industry are becoming more competitive. At the same time, Malaysia is one of the leading suppliers in the region. Now the textile and clothing industry in Malaysia is the 12th largest export article and brings its contribution to the country's total exports of manufactured goods in the amount of 9.5 billion Malaysian ringgit, of which 19.4% came from supplies to the United States. Application of international experience will effectively impact future cooperation.

During the trip, entrepreneurs also discussed and identified areas of cooperation to establish joint ventures, visiting the major textile enterprises and exchanged information, which were provided by manufacturers of various fabrics, accessories, and other areas.
