An employee and an employer are both happy
An aspiring entrepreneur has developed a unique Internet project on employment of people with disabilities and mothers with disabled children
Being a mom of a three year old daughter, most of the time she spends raising a child, Darya Podkorytova invented a business idea for citizens in need of remote work, and her chief assistant and driving force is her husband, an individual entrepreneur in the field of IT-technologies Roman Podkarytov.
The idea of the young couple aroused keen interest among the Council of Business Women of RCE of EKR, whose activities are, inter alia, aimed to promote the implementation of social business projects. Daria Podkorytova addressed here in search of innovative assistance for its implementation. She came to the right place. As it turned out, the Council works closely with the regional branch of "Damu" Entrepreneurship Development Fund as part of a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation signed in July this year.
Given the convergence of interests and commonality of the objectives of the authors of the project, the Council of Business Women and the EDF "Damu", the young businesswoman with assistance of Council of Business Women compiled and submitted to the regional branch of the Fund an application for participation in the national business competition for start-ups “Startup “Bolashak”, about the launch of which we reported in the August issue of "Region Press”. The winners, whose names will be announced on 26th of November will get 3 grants of "Bolashak" Association in the amount of 7 million, 6 million and 5 million tenge. In addition, the authors of the most interesting ideas can obtain investment from investors and the support of Fund "Damu".
"Information interactive online platform for people with disabilities and those who wish to provide them with real assistance in improving their status and full employment" - this is the business idea of the project InService.kz. Its main tasks is to create a data base of persons with disabilities and their employment; creation of an information platform for dialogue with government agencies; training of people with disabilities to integration management system (document management system for SMEs); development of monitoring systems and rapid response to information resources by industry; conducting webinars for state officials and job applicants.
"About how to help find employment for people with disabilities, we thought for a long time. Therefore, the idea of the project emerged clearly - says Daria Podkorytova. - We want to provide an opportunity for these people to get a remote work via the Internet. To do this, we will gather at one platform database of applicants with disabilities and employers of East Kazakhstan, we will teach potential employees to records management, marketing, copywriting and so on, so they can remotely carry out tasks set by the leadership".
Daria explains that, first of all, it helps to employ socially vulnerable stratum of the economically active population, and secondly - to ease the financial burden of employers, who will pay such employees only for the specific work, not 8 hours of daily work at the work station, which has to be equipped with the necessary equipment, furniture, etc. Thus, everyone will benefit from the start of the project InService.kz – business, society and the state.
"We want people with disabilities not to feel discriminated against, because many of them want to work and to be in demand", - the young businesswoman outlined the main priority of her project.
In order to fill the content of InService.kz effectively, the couple plans to establish cooperation with the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of East Kazakhstan region, Employment Center, social associations and public institutions, whose activities are aimed at facilitating the social adaptation of people with disabilities.
A team of 8 people is ready to work on the implementation of a unique social project in Kazakhstan InService.kz. They are looking forward to the results of the competition “Startup “Bolashak”.
