Cement production in Kazakhstan requires technical re-equipment

From 17th to 19th of October Almaty hosts the largest forum of cement producers in the CIS. The event is intended to be an important milestone in establishing links between companies in different countries, which is especially important for Kazakhstan, whose economy showed signs of overcoming the recession. According to the organizers of the conference from Russia, Kazakhstan today has gained the image of a strong, peaceful, dynamically developing state. The climate of economic optimism creates favorable conditions for the rapid development of the building complex, the introduction of new cement industry projects. Astana and Almaty are the leading consumers of cement and other building materials. Modern refineries, which are put annually in operation, demonstrate the high dynamics of development of the cement industry in Kazakhstan.
"Production of building materials is included in the list of 14 priority sectors of the industry for financing. The Chamber of entrepreneurs is ready to provide support to both domestic producers and foreign investors interested in the production of materials for the construction industry, including cement. We can organize the economic support of your projects, to assist in participation in public-private partnership, to provide a lot of other ways of cooperation", - said in his welcoming speech, the director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty Yuri Tleumuratov.
According to the President of Kazakhstani Association of Building Materials Industry, a member of the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty Maral Tompiev, Kazakhstan is on the verge of technological revival. "Now in the country there are 13 cement plants of complete cycle with a total design capacity of more than 10 million tons per year. 6 of them - are large plants based on energy-saving dry process production. From 1998 to 2014 cement production in Kazakhstan increased by 13 times. The main consumers of the material - are Astana, Akmola region and Almaty. The high rate of industrialization of the country, construction of new roads, public facilities and housing requires the opening of new factories for the production of cement and concrete. So, in the coming years Kazakhstan plans to put into operation several cement plants with a total capacity of more than 4 million tons per year ", - said Maral Tompiev.
To date, the need of the republic in the cement is 14 million tons per year. With the implementation of the program of industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019 years, the total design capacity of construction companies reached 16.5 million tons of cement per year. And then Kazakhstan can shift from being the importer to an exporter of demanded building materials.
For the first time the biggest cement BusinessCem Almaty Forum was held in October 2002, it brought together more than 250 experts from 23 countries. In November 2015, in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) successfully passed the 13th Forum on "Construction and cement - a reliable tandem". The conference is held with the support and participation of the Association of the Industry of Building Materials of Kazakhstan, Association of Builders of Kazakhstani, the Union of cement producers.
