An Austrian Business delegation paid a business visit to the region
Austrian businessmen with the support of the Austrian Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan arrived in the region to get acquainted with its industrial and investment potential and present their business initiatives. In particular, they see development of long-term cooperation in the petrochemical and manufacturing industries, transport services and logistics, the restaurant business.
At the last meeting of the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs with the Austrian delegation, it was noted that Kazakhstan and Austria are actively developing trade and economic cooperation. The potential for further bilateral relations is much broader.
"The Pavlodar region is industrial, where are the enterprises of metallurgical, petrochemical, chemical industries and the energy sector. The region boosts cooperation with Austria in some areas, the annual foreign trade turnover amounted to more than 5 million USD in 2015 year. This figure is higher than in 2014 by 8%. And today's meeting will be an incentive to strengthen trade and economic ties, and generally increasing the volume of trade", - said the director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Pavlodar oblast Serik Baiseitov.
In turn, the head of the Austrian delegation, the trade attache of the Embassy of Austria Philip Winkler expressed his willingness to develop effective cooperation between the two countries.
"Kazakhstan for Austria – is an important partner and holds a special place among the Eurasian countries. Our country, in comparison with Kazakhstan, is small, but we have actively developing industries in which we could cooperate fruitfully. Our goal is to explore further opportunities in your region, and to build the most profitable mutual cooperation", - said Mr. Winkler.
During the meeting, there were held B2B negotiation of Austrian and Pavlodar entrepreneurs, as a result they determined the ways of further mutually beneficial cooperation. And, most importantly, the parties agreed to work together at the level of individual companies and industries, including visits to production facilities.
