New business projects will help Kazakh and Russian companies jointly reach a new level

The mutual interest of Kazakhstan and Russia today is to create mutual powerful transport and logistics infrastructure between Europe and Asia. "Both Russia and Kazakhstan conducted a big work. We have formed on our territory the transport corridors from East to West, from North to South", - said in his speech at the Kazakh-Russian Business Forum the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The Head of State noted that "the new routes passing through Kazakhstan from China to Russia and Europe through the Caspian Sea to the Caucasus and Turkey, reduce the time of delivery of goods, on average, twice rather than deliver through the sea. Another new route from Russia through Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan and the Persian Gulf will open. "This is a pass-through railway to the Middle East without a pass from one type of transport to another. Shipping time from Siberia and the Urals to the Middle East was reduced to 4 days. Such opportunities did not exist before", - emphasized Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Besides, Kazakhstan is actively engaged in improving its investment climate and diversification of the economy. The Head of State noted that "the inflow of foreign direct investments into the economy of Kazakhstan in the last 15 years amounted to 260 billion dollars". Kazakhstan occupies 41th place in the world by the World Bank's rating ease of doing business. "Kazakhstan occupies 18th place among 189 countries by the tax indicators in the rating of World Bank “Doing Business”. I would say that Russia occupies 47th place, though in some ways we have to be better….", - smiling, said the President of Kazakhstan.

Then the Head of State spoke about the large-scale privatization. 800 state-owned enterprises for a total amount of 10 billion USD were transferred to the competitive environment, sales are conducted in various ways - from simple auctions to direct sales to strategic investors. "I think that Russian companies will actively participate in this event", - said the President of Kazakhstan. Russian business was also invited Kazakhstan to participate in the EXPO-2017 with a demonstration to "the international community of its technology and development". "I am confident that this will strengthen further our close allied relations and trust, which have been and always will be", - stated the President.
