However, the supplies from the three regions of Kazakhstan, where were recorded pasteurellosis cases, remain banned

"Rosselkhoznadzor" lifted restrictions on the import of goods from Kazakhstan, introduced in May of this year because of the outbreak of pasteurellosis. "I want to repeat that the restrictions due to pasteurellosis in respect of the Republic of Kazakhstan were lifted, except for three areas where the infection was detected - Aktobe, Atyrau, Karaganda regions", - said at a briefing at the Service of Central Communications by the chairman Veterinary Control Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture Saktash Khasenov.

In addition, a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture also commented on the situation surrounding the outbreak of anthrax, which created a lot of trouble not only for people who have got contaminated by the disease, but also domestic suppliers of meat.

"According to the Terrestrial Animal Health Code of the International Epizootic Bureau, anthrax in itself is not a reason for the imposition of restrictions on a country by the other country. That is a disease that has a local character, and quarantine of15 to 20 days should be declared in this case", - said S. Khasenov.

The head of Veterinary Control Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture informed about preparations for export of Kazakh meat to China. He noted that the Chinese side attaches great importance to the organization of the veterinary service in Kazakhstan.

"The work is carried out deliberately, in May of this year a group of experts came from China, who studied the state veterinary service in the Republic of Kazakhstan. On its basis, they are now engaged in analytical work, and in a short time the arrival of the Chinese themselves is expected", - said Khasenov.

According to S. Khasenov, the goal of the new Chinese experts’ visit – is to inspect those businesses that can become exporters to the PRC. "If this work is carried out, and they will set requirements for our companies, in the fall, this issue will be considered more closely", - concluded Saktash Khasenov.
