Safflower potential of the Zhambyl region
At a free seminar at the Chamber Entrepreneurs farmers learnt why it is beneficial to grow safflower the region
The Chamber of entrepreneurs announced the start of training lectures and practical training for agricultural producers.
Subjects of agribusiness were taught innovations in crop production, as well as the basics of effective management of agribusiness. Since the July to September will be held 25 seminars within five areas of crop production at eight farms in the Zhambyl region, as well as a series of seminars on livestock breeding. Competent experts will be engaged in seminars.
15 heads of farms undertook the training in the village of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly in Zhualy District.
The theme of the seminar "Cost-effective production of oilseeds in the conditions of the Zhambyl region". It was delivered by the invited expert Yerlan Kulkeev, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Director of the Kazakh Research Institute of agriculture and horticulture.
Farmers learned in detail about the technological and service support of safflower cultivation in the district, cultivation technology, crop rotation system, as well as the recommended fertilizers for crop protection.
Heads of agricultural organizations first listened to the theoretical part, and then went to the farm "Zhaiyk" where an expert on the field demonstrated how to apply this knowledge in practice.
"Safflower adapts to conditions of extreme continental climate and its need of moisture resorts it one of the most drought-resistant plants, - said Erlan Kulkeev. - Safflower is cultivated to produce seeds for a valuable safflower oil, which is used for food and industrial purposes. In addition, safflower is food highly rich in protein. "According to him, the introduction of resource conserving technology of cultivation of new varieties of safflower, safflower oil will increase the production volumes for the saturation of the domestic market and the food security of the country.
"Simple, affordable, useful, - such an assessment of the seminar gave the head of the farm "Dulati" Nurgat Zhaksylykov. - We also grow safflower, and today we have learned a lot of new things, such as pests, period of time. Agriculture in our time needs help and support, it requires subsidies from the state".
