Polish businessmen are ready to invest in joint projects

At the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of RK "Atameken" met businessmen Kazakh and Polish in the format B2B, who are interested in mutually beneficial cooperation.

The meeting of businessmen of the two countries was more than timely, as soon is expected the official visit of the Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the Republic of Poland, which has traditionally been a reliable partner of Kazakhstan.

"We expect that the outcome of negotiations between the Kazakh and Polish business will be maximum diversification in different areas. These are pharmacy and transport logistics. As we know, Poland has a strong interest in strengthening the transport and logistics cooperation with Kazakhstan with an eye on the Chinese market. It is in the national interests of our countries - to maximize the potential of the transit and transport", - said the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of RK to the Republic of Poland Altay Abibullayev.

During the meeting in a tete-a-tete format Kazakh and Polish companies have been able to meet personally and to discuss opportunities for cooperation. As it was noted by the Advisor to the Minister of Development of Poland Elzbieta Bodio, Polish Bank is ready to finance joint projects with Kazakhstan, if they are of considerable interest. By the way, today the amount of Polish investments in the national economy is around 190 million US dollars. Kazakhstan has about 200 joint ventures with participation of the Polish capital. According to experts, Kazakhstan's cooperation with Poland is of great interest. The Polish side has extensive experience in supporting small and medium-sized businesses. Poland's GDP is about  500 billion USD, of which 45% - is the share of SMEs.

From the Polish side the meeting was attended by 15 companies, operating in sectors such as agriculture, engineering, food industry, energy and alternative energy, IT solutions.

From the Kazakhstani side the meeting was attended by about 50 companies, including national companies and private business.

Some local companies have already managed to agree on further cooperation with the Polish side. Polish companies in the framework of the current visit will also attend Astana and Karaganda.
