The list of dry ports of Kazakhstan is being actualized

In December last year, according to the decision of the Government, Kazakhstan has acceded to the intergovernmental agreement on dry ports, allowing to stimulate and to develop an international integrated intermodal transport and logistics system in Asia and to ensure its connection with the neighboring regions.

It will also develop dry ports of international importance which meet the requirements of international traffic, and create the image of the country as a transit and logistics hub between Europe and Asia.

The implementation of the Agreement by all member countries have a positive impact on increasing the volume of international transport of goods through the territory of Kazakhstan due to the expansion of international trade in the ongoing process of globalization.

The dry ports of international importance of the Republic of Kazakhstan include: acting - Transport and logistics center Aktobe (Aktobe) and Industrial and Logistics Center "Damu" (Almaty), as well as planned - High Tech Logistics, an international center of border cooperation "Khorgos" and Tau terminal (Almaty region).

This list was formed back in 2010 and it included the objects that at that time operated on the territory of the country and were in plans.

The Ministry for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the current development of transport and logistics infrastructure plans to update the list of dry ports of Kazakhstan.
