Financial center "Astana" will have visa-free regime
Member states of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development will get this privilege
Businessmen from thirty-five countries will attend an international financial center "Astana" in the capital of Kazakhstan. Such a statement was made today during the Investment Summit, which was held in the framework of the Astana Economic Forum, by the Minister for Investment and Development Asset Issekeshev.
The Minister stressed that to ensure favorable conditions for Kazakhstani investors, our country unilaterally have introduced a visa regime for investors from 19 priority countries - Australia, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Malaysia, UAE, Singapore, UK, USA, Germany Finland, France, Switzerland and Japan.
In 2018 in the capital of Kazakhstan will start its work "Astana" international financial center. "The center will be managed by the standards of the world's leading financial centers and on the principles and rules of English law with the use of the English language in proceedings, including court proceedings", - said Aset Isekeshev.
The Minister of Investment and Development added that since 2017 financial center will provide visa-free regime for all OECD countries. And in this aspect Kazakhstan "is a pioneer in the CIS and Central Asia".
At the same time Kazakhstan will continue to develop cooperation with the headquarters of OECD. "We are working with the OECD team to become a member of the Investment Committee of this organization. In 2012, the OECD gave Kazakhstan recommendations on how to improve the investment climate in Kazakhstan. We clearly understand where there are weak points and how to fix them", - said the Minister. Continuing this theme, A. Issekeshev noted that "Kazakhstan has already taken steps to improve the legislative in the field of public-private partnerships, licenses and permits to attract foreign labor, protection of intellectual property rights.
