8 subsidiaries of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" signed an agreement with the "Atameken"
The parties have agreed on cooperation in support of domestic producers
The signing ceremony of such an important document for the domestic business was attended by the Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Ablay Myrzakhmetov and heads of subsidiaries of the Fund "Samruk-Kazyna": JSC "KazMunaiGas", JSC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy", JSC "KEGOC" JSC "Samruk-Energo", JSC "Kazakhtelecom", JSC "Kazatomprom", JSC "Kazakhstan engineering" and JSC "Tau-Ken Samruk”.
"Protection of the interests of domestic producers is a key objective of "Atameken". Since the early days we were chasing this goal. In 2014, we signed a memorandum with the management of "Samruk-Kazyna". In December last year we have worked a detailed agreement, within the frames of which we were able to do a lot of work. Every Thursday all companies can meet on our site with the national companies and discuss their issues. Thanks to the joint work, we managed to conclude nearly 1,000 contracts worth 410 billion tenge", - said at a briefing Myrzakhmetov prior to signing of the documents.
The Chairman of the Board of NCE added that the 8 selected companies make 94% of all purchases of "Samruk-Kazyna" - about 3.2 trillion tenge.
"In the current economic conditions, there was a serious contraction in demand. This is the number one problem that troubles all entrepreneurs. 80% of respondents experience business difficulties in marketing their products. Under these conditions, the purchase is a good way to support domestic producers", - he said.
According to Myrzakhmetov, after the signing of an agreement within a month "Atameken" will form working groups with all these companies, through which it will keep track of the current purchases. "The key task is to ensure import substitution without violating WTO commitments. Long-term contracts - are allowed by WTO and it is the most effective mechanism to support domestic producers", - he stressed.
It is worth noting that in the framework of the signed agreements, we will also provide whole range of non-financial support through centers for servicing entrepreneurs and business support center.
The number of long-term agreements with domestic suppliers by the condition on March 31, 2016 amounts to 5,537 active contracts worth 6.7 trillion tenge, 1 784 of all concluded contracts in 2015 worth 983 billion tenge and 955 concluded contracts worth 410 billion tenge with the support of NCE RK "Atameken".
