Taiwanese businessmen intend to develop advanced technologies in Kazakhstan
Council of Business Women of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty and the Taiwanese Council on the External Trade Development organized a meeting of businessmen
The purpose of the visit of the Taiwanese delegation is to establish business relations with businessmen of Kazakhstan, namely, the opening of the joint ventures, investments, building up of distribution in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, wholesale and retail sale of goods directly from the manufacturer, without intermediaries.
The Taiwan delegation was represented by 30 major international companies, which produce car parts and accessories, equipment for construction, medical and energy industries, construction materials, equipment and trainers for sports industry, stationery, baby equipment and means for child care, medical equipment, products of IT-sector and communications (transformers, transistors, LED-screens, network equipment, adapters, USB-drives, terminals for receiving payments), etc. More than 100 Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan expressed interest in the meeting.
"We are working in the tourism sector, which is currently under the scrutiny of the state. We produce substation for motor homes, including ones in the composition of caravanning. Our equipment allows us to charge electronics and appliances in homes, cars, there are no analogues to such equipment neither in Kazakhstan, nor on the territory of CIS countries. We have held talks with Taiwanese entrepreneurs who can supplt the missing elements for our production. I think this business meeting is very necessary and timely for Kazakhstani business ", - said the director of LLP Silk Road camps Azamat Kenzhaliyev.
"Taiwan is a relatively new trend for us. They are interested, first of all, in the development of high technology, manufacturing of steel products and parts, chemical industry of Kazakhstan. Many of the guests, who arrived today, intend to study seriously our market and to begin to implement joint projects. Particular interest is shown to the SEZ "PIT" Alatau, where IT-companies are granted tax privileges and preferences. It is worth noting that women's entrepreneurship is quite developed in Taiwan. Their women are active, they offer innovative projects, and today we also hope to conduct successful negotiations with Taiwanese business woman", - said the deputy chairman of the Council of Business Women of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty Akerkin Eralieva.
The event was attended by Director of the Taiwanese Council of External Trade Development Arthur San, director of "KazneksInvest" office in Almaty Sabit Narbaev, President of Kazakhstani Association of the Industry of Building Materials Maral Tompiev, representatives of industry associations and business leaders. The staff of the Centre for Servicing Entrepreneurs provided free advice on customs clearance of goods, freight and logistics, legal services for public companies and joint ventures, tax and accounting services for marketing, as well as preparing a business plan and further support projects to those who are interested in international co-operation.
