The initiative of the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" Timur Kulibayev on supporting young entrepreneurs has found specific features.
On 2nd of March 2016 during the III annual conference of businessmen of Astana, the Akim of the capital Adilbek Dzhaksybekov told about the offer of Timur Kulibayev, declaring his full support. "We had a conversation with the Chairman of the Presidium of NCE RK "Atameken", during which he announced the proposal. The city administration has supported the idea of the head of NCE. We are now looking to select a new program to support start-ups in the range of 1-2 billion tenge no age and industry restrictions", - said the Akim.
Today, on 30th of March, the decision to issue turned into a practical shape. Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Entrepreneurship Development Fund" Damu" Kanysh Tuleushin signed a memorandum on cooperation on implementation of the programs for support of small and medium-sized businesses. It is planned that on the basis of the memorandum, the Akimat and "Damu" will allocate 1 billion tenge for implementation of a new program for support of SMEs in the field of start-up projects. It is noteworthy that there are no industry and age restrictions, and this was another fundamental proposal of the senior management of NCE "Atameken" when discussing the details of the project of lending through second-tier banks.
Thus, entrepreneurs, whose activities are not included in the list of priority economic sectors, can participate in the new program. Maximum loan amount can be up to 50 million tenge. Interest rate - 7.9% per annum, with repayment of the loan term - up to 7 years. The Metropolitan Chamber of entrepreneurs will conduct selection of projects for lending.
