Large enterprises of Pavlodar region felt the effects of the currency devaluation in neighboring Russia

This was announced today at a briefing at the Service of Central Communications by Akim of the region Kanat Bozumbayev. "Pavlodar region was one of the first to feel the problems of the economy in neighboring Russia. In connection with the fall of the ruble, products began to lose their competitiveness, our major companies were forced to reduce production volumes", - said the Akim.

According to him, the largest drop occurred in the energy sector. "There are objective and subjective reasons. Ekibastuz GRES completely stopped the supply of electricity to the Russian market due to the devaluation of the ruble. There was a reduced demand from the major Kazakhstani energy consumers ", - added the head of the region.

At the same time, Kanat Bozumbayev added that the anti-crisis measures of the Government of Kazakhstan allowed Pavlodar region to maintain "stability and to ensure the positive dynamics of the main indicators of socio-economic development of the region".

"The region's economy has considerably animated, production was resumed in almost the same amount", - said the Akim.

In addition, there are plans to restructure the activities of the domestic car-building company this year, where will be launched assembly of flat wagons for large containers.
