US investors are willing to come to Kazakhstan
The National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" and the Business Council of the United States signed a memorandum of understanding in Washington
The document was signed within the frame of the third Kazakh-American Convention, which was attended by Deputy Chairman of NCE RK Nurzhan Altaev.
US Business Council was established in 1955 on the initiative of President Dwight Eisenhower, today it is a non-profit organization, which is a link between the Government and the private sector. The Council includes 200 large companies.
At a meeting with the Vice President of the Business Council Jeff Donald the Deputy Chairman Nurzhan Altana NPP discussed investment partnership. According to him, our country is interested in investments of the United States, which could develop the processing industry and agriculture in Kazakhstan. However, even the Americans show considerable interest in cooperation.
"The memorandum will discuss all the issues of investment partnership. If earlier the US companies were mainly interested in oil and gas, today they are willing to invest their capital in areas such as agriculture and food industry. Our country is a kind of window for them to the markets of Russia and China", - says Nurzhan Altaev, Deputy Chairman of NCE RK "Atameken".
In turn, Geoff Donald, vice president of the US Business Council on International Understanding, said that in a recent address to the nation the President Nursultan Nazarbayev also talked about attraction of investment into the country.
"In my opinion, this is the right move, and we will use the possibility of joining the Kazakhstani market. We are ready to offer all the necessary conditions for close cooperation of American business with Kazakhstani entrepreneurs", - said the deputy head of the Business Council of the United States.
