IT-companies of Kazakhstan and Lithuania agreed on cooperation
The Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania has initiated a business meeting with Lithuanian IT-companies. The purpose of the dialogue is establishment of bilateral trade relations and development of industries in the field of information technology, innovation, education, transport monitoring and control of fuel consumption, software, electronic documents and data exchange.
Crisis prompted Lithuania to modernize the economy and to make a gradual shift towards the development of knowledge intensive industries, amongst which mechatronics, bio - and information technologies play a leading role. Today Lithuania is famous for being a dynamic and fast growing technology platform. According to forecasts, the growth in European industry of cloud computing technology in the next few years will be about 20%, and Lithuania can lead this renaissance.
"Kazakhstani business can withstand a possible economic downturn with the help of advanced technologies and new management standards. State and public sector, in turn, have the potential to increase competitiveness and to attract investment through innovation. And this experience of the Lithuanian colleagues could be very useful", - said Akerkin Eralieva, head of the foreign economic activity of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty.
Following the meeting, the sides expressed hope for further cooperation and strengthening of relationships.
