China: "Come to us and trade!"
The Pavilion of the Silk Road, which is located in the new economic region of China - Syuyvey, Kazakh producers will obtain free of charge an exhibition hall, which will allow Kazakh goods to access the world market.
The new economic region of China was presented to Kazakh businessmen during the visit of a delegation from China to the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken".
"Lianyungang City is located on the eastern beginning of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge. It is an important access to the sea for the East Central Asian countries, and at the same time, an important hub of intersection between "economic belt of the Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road". From the East the New Syuyvey District is washed by the Yellow Sea and borders with Japan and Korea. According to the decree of the State Council, it is the leading areas of national demonstration area of cooperation between the eastern, central and western regions", - said Feng Qishan, Deputy Head of the Administrative Committee of the National Demonstration Area on cooperation between the eastern, central and western regions of China.
As it was noted by the representative of the Chinese delegation, in order to promote cooperation in the import-export trade between the countries along the Silk Road, in the city of Lianyungang of the new Syuyvey district was created the project "Silk Road Pavilion" with an area of 30 thousand square meters, which is aimed at demonstration and trade of goods between the countries along the Silk Road, as well as provision of year-round services for the exhibition, sale, trade and movement of goods.
"Kazakhstan has rich resources of special products. The new economic region Syuyvey is ready to provide trading and demonstration platform and services for the exit of Kazakhstani goods to the world market. It is planned that an area of 500 m2 in the constructed Pavilion Silk Road will be allocated for the showroom of Kazakhstani goods", - said Feng Qishan.
Let’s note that in late 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping put forward the initiative of the joint construction of "economic belt of the Silk Road" and "Marine Silk Road of the 21st century" (abbreviation "One belt one way") and actively implemented it by visiting Central Asia and South Asia. At the meeting of 12 Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the Member States, the Prime Minister Li Keqiang has clearly stated that the city of Lianyungang, located in the eastern beginning of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge, will provide the Member States of the SCO logistics services and warehousing. The most profitable route for Kazakhstan in the implementation of trade with East and Southeast Asia, it is the second Eurasian continental bridge over the city of Lianyungang.
As it was noted by the Chinese guests, Kazakhstan is the most important trade partner of China among the countries along the "one zone, one way". Total trade between the two countries is about 19% of trade in Kazakhstan. Estimated volume of import-export trade between the two countries in 2015 reached 40 billion USD. Kazakhstan imports mainly from East and Southeast Asia, the vehicles and spare parts, mechanical equipment, electrical appliances, plastic, rubber, etc. And it exports to the East and South-East Asia non-ferrous metals of primary processing, food, precious metals, etc.
The New Syuyvey District will have preferential land policies and appropriate financial support, and provide a wide range of tax benefits.
"Provision of trade and demonstration platform at a new economic region of China is a good business opportunity for Kazakh producers, and we will certainly try to use it effectively", - said Deputy Chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Nurzhan Altaev.
According to him, Lianyungang city, where the New Chinese Syuyvey District is located, is a port city, which is linked by rail with major Chinese cities. Moreover, it has sea links with the Korean port of Busan and the Japanese port of Osaka, where, as you know, sent caravans of goods across the Pacific. And Kazakhstan is interested in cooperation with the district administration of Syuyvey.
