“KAZNEX INVEST”: new opportunities

NCE RK "Atameken" has received 49% of shares of the "National Agency for Export and Investment “KAZNEX INVEST”

On June 25, 2015 NCE and the Committee for State Property and Privatization of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed an agreement on transfer of shares of the "National Agency for Export and Investment “KAZNEX INVEST” in trust management to NCE 49% without the right to repurchase.

The Law "On the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs" stipulates a number of functions of the Chamber in terms of support and development of entrepreneurship, the development of foreign trade, attraction of investment.

In particular, it is the operator of the development and promotion of exports, the formation of business councils (together with foreign organizations), maintaining the register of international exhibitions held on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad, international marketing and advertising support to domestic producers, other consulting services.

Asset management of the stake of JSC “KAZNEX INVEST” will allow the company to take a step forward in the creation of conditions for a timely response to requests from the business community.

This will increase the effectiveness of measures on promotion of export of domestic goods and services, it will enhance the attraction of foreign investment and the search for foreign investors in promotion of Kazakhstan as a profitable investment object, on the international market, the strengthening of the investment image of the country as well as the development of special economic zones.

The right to own and to use the remaining 51% of shares of “KAZNEX INVEST” remains with the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan.

The procedure of transfer of share to trust management was accompanied by the Legal Department of NCE.

JSC "National Agency for Export and Investment “KAZNEX INVEST” was created on April 2, 2010 by the decision of the MINT RK on the basis of the Corporation for Export Development and Promotion “KAZNEX”, in response to the message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2006 and 2007 about the need to create an institute of service support of non-raw export.

Transfer in trust to NCE with the share of JSC "National Agency for the development of local content “NADLoC” and JSC “National Agency for Export and Investment “KAZNEX INVEST” is fixed by the agreement between the Ministry of Investment and Development of the RK and the National Chamber concluded in February of this year.
